My name is Nick. From the bottom of my heart, as a brother and a son, asking for help on this platform is NOT easy; however, my family’s needs come before my uncomfortableness.

My family is facing a bit of a crisis that threatens to take away the only home my sister and I have known. After our parents divorced, our father demanded his half of the equity ($243,000) in the home.

My mom, who has always been the rock of our family, has $100,000 balance left. My mom CAN afford to keep us in our home, she is just unable to come up with the balance by April 9th. 2026. On April 9, when they go in front of the Judge again, if my mom does not have the balance, my father is demanding the house be sold.

This isn’t just about a house – it’s about the safety and stability of my sister, who is severely autistic, with special needs, handicapped, and suffers from intractable seizures. She requires 24/7 care and recently endured major surgery, spending six weeks in the hospital. Through it all, my mom has cared for her single-handedly, making sure she receives the proper meds, therapies, medical equipment, and routines that are essential for her well-being. Our town has been a lifeline, providing my sister with specialized schooling and services and even giving my mom a job, so she can accompany my sister to school and administer her seizure medications when needed.

Our home is more than just a roof over our heads – it’s our safe space, the center of my sister’s care, services she receives through the town and the foundation of our family’s stability. Losing it would be devastating, not just for my mom and me, but especially for my sister, whose progress and well-being depend on the environment we’ve built together. The funds raised will go directly toward paying the remaining equity, allowing us to keep our home and continue providing the care my sister needs.

Every dollar brings us closer to security and hope. I need this challenge to go viral and/or get 10,000 people to donate $10, it would change everything. Please help me keep my sister and mom in the stable, caring environment they need.
