10k in Aid of UCC Surgeon Noonan Charity

Donation protected
The UCC Surgeon Noonan Society is a well-established society whose aim is to provide medical aid to Africa through fundraising and volunteerism. The charity is run voluntarily by 4th-year medical students from UCC. Each year our goal is to raise over 100,000 euros, all of which goes directly towards underfunded rural hospitals in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The money raised by our fundraising is brought to the hospitals by medical students each summer. This June I will be completing a placement in Makiungu, Tanzania, and all funds raised by this event will go directly to this hospital.

50 cents can purchase mosquito nets for a family of four to prevent malaria, 1 euro can feed a patient in hospital for a week, 5 euro can purchase one month's supply of blood pressure and blood-thinning medication for one patient, and 10 euro can pay for cataract eye surgery or a chest X-ray and transport to an urban hospital for a patient with suspected TB.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated; thank you.
