10K for Türkiye - Türkiye Earthquake Relief
Hi, My name is Kemal Evci, and I will be running my first 10K to raise awareness about the devastating earthquake that hit my hometown, Adiyaman, in southeastern Türkiye. I will be participating in the TC10k event to raise money for the kids, women, students and animals who need help in my hometown.
This earthquake was one of the strongest in the region in the last century. Many communities have been severely impacted, and many families have lost everything. They are left without homes, belongings, and basic necessities. The people affected by this disaster desperately need our support. Donations of any amount can help provide aid such as food, shelter, and medical supplies to those in need.
My brother, Hamit Levent Evci, who has been working with not-for-profit organizations such as Ihtiyac Haritasi (English) and Toplum Gonulluleri Vakfi (English) for many years, has been heavily involved in recovery operations in the Adiyaman area. Currently, he is leading a group of volunteers to distribute supplies and basic necessities to those affected by this tragedy in villages and small towns around Adiyaman. My wife and I, along with close friends and family, have been transferring money through Wise to Hamit Levent directly, and 100% of these funds have been used to provide direct support to those urgently in need. However, more is needed. All funds that are collected through this fundraiser will be sent to Turkiye for the purchase of supplies and aid that is needed at that time. I will personally cover any bank fees associated with transferring the funds.
