TTSD Stafford 10k Fundraiser — Supporting the Community That Means So Much to Us

As a group of TTSD adults, we’re taking on the Stafford 10k to raise money so TTSD can finally have its own microphones — for both our children’s shows and our adults’ shows.

Many of us haven’t run in years, and some of us are already questioning our life choices, but we’re doing it because TTSD is more than a theatre school. It’s a community. A family. A place where people of all ages feel safe, supported, and celebrated.

And that’s because of Natalie.

Natalie has created something truly special — a space where children and adults can express themselves, grow in confidence, make friends, and feel part of something bigger. TTSD isn’t just about performing. It’s about belonging. It’s about joy. It’s about giving people a place to shine, no matter their age or ability.

Why microphones matter

Having our own microphones would make a huge difference to everything we do:

Clear voices — Every performer deserves to be heard, whether it’s a child whispering their first line or an adult belting out a solo.

Confidence — When performers know the audience can hear them, they stand taller and feel proud of themselves.

Inclusivity — Some children speak softly, some adults get nervous, some performers need extra support. Microphones help everyone feel equal on stage.

Better shows — Good sound lifts every performance, children’s shows, adult shows, all of it.

Independence — Having our own equipment means we don’t have to borrow or rely on inconsistent gear anymore.

This isn’t just about tech. It’s about giving every performer — young or grown — the chance to be heard clearly and confidently.

A heartfelt plea

We’re asking our friends, families, and the wider TTSD community to support us. Even a small donation helps. Sharing the fundraiser helps. Cheering us on helps (especially when we’re red‑faced, sweaty, and wondering why we ever thought running was a good idea).

We’re doing this because TTSD has given so much to all of us. The children pour their hearts into their shows, and the adults do too. Natalie and her team have built a space where people feel safe to be themselves — and we want to give back in a way that makes every future performance even better.
