2491 NoMythic is a FIRST Robotics team serving students from Great River School and Avalon School, two small charter schools in Saint Paul. FIRST seeks to create a world where science and technology are celebrated, and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.

2491 NoMythic is asking you to help us raise $6,000 because there are 6,000 reasons to invest in our passionate problem solvers and STEM education. Your donation will provide our passionate problem solvers additional resources to build, program, and drive a highly competitive robot at the tournament and continue our dream of qualifying for the World Championships in Houston. 2491 NoMythic transforms the lives of students. Team members report that their time on NoMythic is one of the most significant parts of their high school years. Here is the story of one of our students:

The impact NoMythic has had on my life is immeasurable. Through these three years, I’ve grown as a person, learned technical and personal skills, and found an incredible group of friends. NoMythic is a community that is incredibly supportive of its students. As a disabled person, I’m unable to join traditional team sports, but NoMythic has been so much more than just a sport or a club. My team is like my family, especially with the hours we spend together, eating, talking, and bringing our dreams to life.

And the impact continues beyond high school. Some students major in college in the fields in which they were most engaged during their time on the team: Some programmers study computer science and some build team members study engineering. Others come to our team without any idea what they want to do after high school and find their passion and college major. Everyone leaves with skills, tools, and knowledge that will help them in any career they

choose.
