#105 VPA Tournament Patches... ref recognition!
0% complete
$1,100 raised of $1.2K
10 donations
The Cause:
* This fundraiser is to raise money to buy special patches to be awarded to VT #105 Officials that receive a Final 4 assignment to the VPA Tournament!
* Each year, the crews for each of the Semi-final assignments for Boys & Girls Division I/II/III/IV will receive a commemorative iron-on patch that they will be required to wear for their game.
* There will be more details to come, and I will post them here. For example, we need to finalize a logo. Even before that though, we need to raise some money!
The Math:
*If I mathed my math correctly, a $1k budget should give us inventory for patches for at least 10 postseasons.
*Burying the lead a bit here, but we have a very generous Anonymous donor that has vowed to match each dollar raised here, up to $500. So if we raise $500 our sponsor will donate the other $500!
Other details (cuz you're prolly wondering...):
* Officials that may receive more than one of such assignments in a single postseason, or over multiple seasons, will have the option to get a new patch or re-use the one they previously received.
* The patches are able to be removed from the jersey at the end of the postseason, so officials receiving one would not have to worry about getting a new shirt for the regular season.
* Many people believe the anonymous donor is actually the VT State Police, and that this donation is an act of good kindness as an apology for their detainment of #105 Referee, and Past President, Andrew Moshovetis when he was simply trying to commute to the 2025 Spring Meeting. Moshovetis was ultimately vindicated of any wrong-doing, but was forced to miss the very meeting he was supposed to chair as President, was left stranded at a closed tow shop by the VSP, and rang up nearly $500 in expenses getting himself brought home and getting his car out of the tow shop.
