10-33 Officer Needs Assistance

For the past 10 years, Sgt. Lauren Galloway has been a valued officer with the Tega Cay Police Department. She has worked in community patrol, training & recruiting, and helped start the new Dispatch Center.

Just before Christmas she and her family received the devastating diagnosis of ovarian cancer. After the first surgery, the doctors discovered the cancer had spread.

As you can imagine, this came as a total shock being that Lauren is only 37 with a whole life ahead of her. Although this is not how she anticipated her new year to begin, she has no choice but to fight this disease.

Unfortunately, along with the cancer diagnosis comes a major financial burden. Chemotherapy, additional surgeries, etc. (She has already had 1 surgery to remove the omentum) Insurance does not come close to covering it all. Hence this request for help.

If you know Lauren, you know how great of a person she is. She is kind, smart, funny, loyal, and authentic. She loves her family, her friends, her dog sweet pea, and her fiancé Shay.

There is no one stronger than Lauren, and we know she will persevere. We greatly appreciate any and ALL donations to help her get through this difficult time.
