I will be running the 102-mile Cotswold Way to raise money for a charity close to my heart: Little John’s House in Cisnădioara, Romania, and every mile will be for the extraordinary children and young adults who are supported by it.

​Why Little John’s House?

​Little John’s House is a dedicated charity that provides a caring home for a family of young adults with additional needs. The charity also offers hope, friendship and play for disadvantaged children and young adults in Romania via a day centre and summer school.

​I have been fortunate enough to volunteer at their summer school twice, and have seen firsthand the monumental hurdles the children and young adults face everyday, yet their resilience, smiles, and capacity for love are boundless.

​The Challenge Ahead

​The Cotswold Way stretches over 102 miles and will be a mental and physical challenge. I aim to complete the run in four days, hopefully starting on the 23rd July, if the weather permits. I will have the kind support of fellow volunteers, friends and family who have agreed to join me for sections of the run, as well as help me along the way with food, water and encouragement.

​The money raised from this run goes directly to the charity to help fund:

. ​24/7 specialized care and support for the permanent residents.

​. Funding of the summer school so more children and young adults from the Romanian community can experience the joy and fun that I have witnessed whilst volunteering.

​. Maintenance of the house and garden.
