My name is Justin, I'm an activist, an author, an amateur photographer, and an online content creator who covers the niche field of libertarian political and social movements with my content. I host a podcast, manage a YouTube channel, publish a weekly email newsletter, and just finished writing my 2nd book.

My next venture is to produce a documentary film centered around the content of my new book, "Live Free and Thrive: 101 Reasons Why Liberty Lives in New Hampshire."

And I Need Your Help To Do It!
Every non-anonymous donation will be given some credit in the film! Credits to include: (Contact Justin O'Donnell via Twitter @ODonnell4NH for details or if you have any questions!)

Keep Reading below to get the background, and the whole plan, even beyond the movie!
The Free State Project is a non-profit organization based in New Hampshire with a mission to promote a culture of libertarianism in the freest state in the country, and encourage like-minded people to take part in the mass migration to The Granite State to achieve liberty in their Lifetimes! One of the most cited reasons people give for deciding to make the move is having seen the documentary film "101 Reasons: Liberty Lives in New Hampshire" which was a crowdfunded independently produced documentary made by supporters of The Free State Project to encourage supporters to make the move.

However, a decade later, much of the original content in that film and its accompanying list are outdated and no longer relevant. But they aren't relevant for a good reason! Because so many people have made the move, and so many have gotten involved, there has been a decade of political and cultural successes that have changed the landscape of New Hampshire for the better, so the list needed to be updated!

When I was researching to rewrite the list, I decided that each reason on the list deserved a thorough explanation, and before I knew it, I had expanded this simple list into a short book.

So here's the deal, and The Plan!
I'm going to publish the book in November, and while the paperback and kindle versions will be available for sale on Amazon, the PDF will be available for free online, and the entirety of the new list will also be published online to be shared for free! But we still need to remake the movie, and update that!

That's where you come in. Documentaries cost money to make, and while they don't cost millions like blockbuster films, to do it right isn't free. Equipment, editing, narration, and time are not free. I'm not a professional, this will be my first film, so I've made sure to commit to getting help from a professional video editor, a professional voice actress for narration, and copy editors to help perfect the script. All these people need to be compensated for their time and work, as well as videographers and production assistants to help accomplish this program. Fortunately, the Free State Community is diverse enough that I've been able to find the vast majority of this help locally and within our community of movers!

The documentary will be similar in structure to the original film published a decade ago, with scripted content, candid b-roll, and sit-down interviews with both natives and movers. But a lot has changed in the past 10 years, and our efforts to promote those successes need to be updated to reflect that!

Beyond The Film!
Every effort will be made to keep production as far under budget as possible while maintaining the highest quality of production. Any excess contributions will be rolled over to the next phase of our marketing plan with the new list. As I mentioned, I compiled the new list into a short book with thorough explanations for each of the 101 reasons, and some personalized stories from movers and free state project participants encouraging the move.

For every $25 beyond the goal, our team can mail a copy of the book, along with a promotional rack card with instructions on where and how to watch the movie, to libertarian activists on voter rolls in tyrannical states across the country, encouraging them to join their fellow libertarians in achieving liberty in their lifetimes in New Hampshire! Direct Marketing to our preferred demographic, by using public voter rolls to identify those fighting losing battles politically in other states, and let them know about everything we're accomplishing here in New Hampshire, and how they can join us. ideally, this project will be ongoing and indefinite.
