100km in May for Newry City AFC U12 2025 Foyle Cup Team

Hi, my name is James Rooney, A husband and father of three kids. My middle boy Corey, he lives and breaths football and this year him and his U12 team mates for Newry City AFC are attending the 2025 Foyle Cup, A prestigious tournament that runs for a whole week in and around the city Derry/Londonderry. This tournament is known globally and draws underage teams from all over the world to compete against each other in a great inclusive environment. Although this will be such a great week and no doubt give the kids lifelong memories, it also has a huge cost, which include accomodation, facilities, logistics and all the planning. This is where I hope my friends, family and anyone else, who are in a position to help, can donate to take the burden from all the families of the kids. Any little amount will help immensely. In return for your generosity, I will commit to running 100km within the month of May. This equates to 25Km per week for 4 weeks and to help put things in context, I only started runnung in March 2024 as a casual runner so this will be very challenging for me but a challenge that I will be embracing.
