Push to $100k for Support Act
On the anniversary of Fire Fight Australia it’s heart-breaking to realise that the majority of the crew who volunteered their services to help on the day, have barely had any work since Friday 13th March 2020. The live event industry is truly in trouble!
If you've followed Stagekings and our IsoKing furniture since the shutdown of the event industry back on Friday 13th March, you'd know that helping these people is something very close to our hearts, and anyone who has ever enjoyed a concert, festival or event should be really concerned! We've been helping as best we can by donating from every desk sale to Support Act - the Heart and Hand of Australian Music - donating $65,000 in the past 11 months. But as calls for Support Act's Crisis Relief Grants and their mental health support has increased by hundreds of percent over the past 11 months - more is needed!
So we're calling upon everyone we know to help us reach, and even exceed $100k before the anniversary of the event industry shutdown on the 13th March! If everyone who follows us just donates $2 each, we'll hit that target!
Support Act is a music charity which provides crisis relief services to artists, roadies and music workers as a result of ill health, injury, a mental health problem, or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music - and these donations go directly to them
