Hi everyone I’ll be taking on the 100 days of walking challenge again in 2022.
I am doing this to try and raise much needed funds for 2 organisations that go above and beyond to help those in a very dark place.
Aoibheanns Pink Tie are the National childhood cancer charity. They provide practical support to families in a whole number of areas to help them focus on the fight their child is going through, that is cancer. I have seen first hand the support given by APT and I am humbled by their care & support shown to families.
ONE’s services are available to all veterans of the Irish Defence Forces and we also facilitate homeless veterans from other countries living in Ireland from time to time. ONE provides accommodation to veterans, who otherwise would be homeless, and has also created a nationwide network of Veteran’s Support Centres which provide a variety of support services and access to resources.
Finally I am doing this to highlight the link between physical health & mental health. The first 100 days of the year can be some of the hardest days to motivate yourself to look after yourself. There are so many excuses to not do something so why not focus on something positive rather than negative to help pass the winter and walk into spring.
I will be completing my Military loaded March fitness test everyday for 100 days. With a twist of 100 kilometres in the final two days. Please help in anyway possible by donating as little or as big as you can afford. Also I’d love the company on some of the walks I’ll be doing.
