100 Miles in May for The Civet Project Foundation

As a passionate zoologist I jumped at the opportunity to join the team at The Civet Project. Since starting my work with them in November 2023, I have learnt so much - this being in skills, networking and conservation. However, the biggest thing I have been made aware of, is the threats facing a lesser known species.

If you had asked me a year ago, what a civet was, I wouldn't have had an answer - and this is half the threat! Now I know how overlooked this species is and how mistreated they are in order to produce what is sold as a 'luxury'. This includes perfumes, coffee, fur or meat! These animals deserve protection and respect.

Money generated for The Civet Project is valued and allows the future projects of the charity and the future for civets and viverrids. Without donations and funding the vital projects, research and events would not be possible.
