1,000km for Kids with Additional Needs & Families
Donation protected
In March 2024 I will be cycling 1,000km over 7 days, arriving in Lourdes on Good Friday. This is a meaningful, personal challenge, but also one which will help children with additional needs and their families.
The Irish Pilgrimage Trust brings children with additional needs on a fun filled, week long, pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes while simultaneously providing much needed respite for the rest of their family.
My sister Maeve travelled as a guest and I have been twice as a volunteer. It is a unique, life changing week for everyone involved.
Every participant (cyclists, back up teams, volunteers, carers and medical volunteers) pay their own fares and accommodation. Therefore, all funds raised go directly to benefit these young people who, thanks to donations,
are able to travel completely free of charge.
