1000 Flags Hawaii

Aloha mai kakou! Hawaii’s first holiday was celebrated on July 31st 1843. La Ho’iho’i Ea began with a flag ceremony at 12 noon at Thomas Square, raising Hawaii’s Flag back to its rightful place representing Hawaii’s people. We are asking for your action! For every donation of $5 or more we will plant a 18”x12” Hawaiian Flag on the median coming down Kailua Road on the morning of July 31st, 2020. We will be adding a red ribbon to each flag with the first name and last initial of each supporter. This is a show of support to this incredible place that we live. A place that shares a rich history of justice and liberty for all. “Ua mau ke ea o ka aina i ka pono” uttered from Kamehameha III lips July 31st, 1843 Proceeds support Hui Aloha Āina Momona 501(c) in it constant aloha āina activities. This year including flag ceremony and huli drive at Thomas Square on July 31, 2020, 11am-1pm.
