100,000 Steps, 1 Day... 2 Sore feet!

Hi, my name is Aidan and I didn't fully appreciate how far 100,000 steps were in 1 day before I said ''I'll do that!''

So on Tuesday the 3rd of August, I will be doing approximately 50 miles, and here's why...

...I am so aware now, more than ever, that our mental health and well-being need looking after.

I will be running, walking, and probably crawling for two amazing charities; Elsie's Moon and Mercy UK.

Having seen some of our best friends lose their daughter, Elsie when pregnancy didn't go to plan was heart-breaking! I couldn't begin to imagine their pain and understand what they were going through.

However, through the love and support of family, friends, and other charities they were able to turn their pain and sadness into a beautiful gift for others who share a similar journey.

The other charity I am supporting, Mercy UK, runs a free residential home for young women struggling with life-controlling issues such as; self-harm; eating disorders; depression, and effects of abuse in all its forms. Mercy UK - Click Here

On a daily basis, I get to witness and see the amazing transformation that goes on in these young women's lives. I will be forever grateful for the work they have done in those whom I love the most.

I want to help both these charities, and if by doing a fair few steps, I can be a part of providing a pack for a mother and father who have just lost a child or help a young woman feel like she is in a safe place for the first time in her life, I will.
