$8,000 for Patchy

On February 15th,  Patrick Anderson left us for reasons we may never understand. Patrick was beloved by everyone, he had a smile and laugh that could light up a room. Patrick is the embodiment of the True Gentlemen, the creed of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He truly lived out the words “who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.” Looking forward, myself and the brothers of Appalachian State's Sigma Alpha Epsilon would like to make a difference in our community in our fraternity brother Patrick’s name. On St. Patrick's Day (March 17), we will be holding the first annual “Patrick’s Day” in honor and remembrance of our lost brother. It will be an event that includes a mental health awareness speaker, catered food, live music, and games. It will be held at Legends on the campus of Appalachian State University from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. All proceeds from the GoFundMe and merchandise will be collected from our Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter and a check of the proceeds will be donated to supported suicide prevention services. Any contribution to these causes, large or small will be greatly appreciated.  He will be forever remembered by our chapter, his friends, family, and everyone he met. Let's raise some money for Patchy!!
