1000 Trees in one-day Planting Project

1000 Trees in one-day Planting Project !!!!
Plant 1000 trees with us in Jersey!

Why plant trees?
There will be devastating consequences as temperatures soar. Changes will be irreversible as ecosystems collapse. Our planet will be unrecognisable.

We need to seriously reduce our emissions, and find a way of reducing the damage already done. Technology is being explored to remove CO2 – the biggest culprit – from the atmosphere, but they are expensive and complex.
There is a simpler solution – and it’s our most powerful weapon in the fight against climate change: trees.

Because of the pandemic, many tree planting activities have been postponed or canceled here in Jersey.
This is why we are in a rush to plant more.

When it comes to climate change, our message is clear: native woods and trees are one of the best ways to tackle the climate crisis.

They lock up carbon, reduce pollution and flooding, and support people, wildlife, and livestock in adapting to the climate crisis.

Global warming is happening at a faster rate than ever. Our polar ice caps are melting and our forests are burning.
We’re in a climate emergency and it’s threatening our planet and our Island is no exception.

This is why on the 14th December 2021 we are planting 1000 trees in 3 hours. We need your support financially and energetically.

Come and help us plant!
We have the trees ready waiting for you! Pls make a donation here to secure a planting spot for yourself or just to simply support our activities go further. We need your help!!!

Does my donation go directly to Jersey Trees For Life charity?
Yes. Donations are directly received by the Charity to fund tree planting and maintenance to ensure the planted trees survive. It cost about £5 to plant one tree. Could cost thousands to secure the maintenance of the tree sections where trees are planted. Maintenance is extremely important to ensure the survival of the trees after plantation. FACT only a small percentage of trees survive without regular care. Planting is not enough.

What does my donation actually go towards?
Every pound you donate, go towards either plantation or maintenance.

Can planting trees solve climate change?
No, not on its own. Trees are a proven natural climate solution but we need to stick to the science and attack the problem from many angles at once. #JerseyTreesforLife is planted and maintain 1000’s trees in Jersey in order to 1) be part of the solution, 2) send a strong signal that the island community cares about the planet we all call home, and 3) show that planting trees is a simple solution that everyone can get behind.

This is great! How can I get involved with #JerseyTreesforLife?
Apart from donating, there are a number of ways to help. The best way to support this initiative is to tell other people about us so they can volunteer and donate money so we can keep going with our work. — we want everyone to plant trees!
