Hi my name’s Luke, I will be raising money for the 1000milesfor1000smiles fundraiser in memory of Eve Shipley. A close friend of mine Jake lost his Step Sister to a brain tumour back in November 2024.

These are some words very kindly Eve’s Dad, Dave Shipley & Step Brother, Jacob Edge-Lucas have put together.

Eve Shipley was a beautiful, caring and funny little girl

She was loved by so many people

In April 2020 Eve was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Eve battled this horrible disease and, after over 12 months of treatment, Eve was given the news that she was cancer free.

Sadly, in September 2022, it was discovered that Eve had another tumour. This was heartbreaking news but Eve, once again, was brave, strong and courageous and remained determined. Even with everything she was going through and all the treatment she had she was still the same little girl that everyone loved so much.

Horrendously, Eve was then diagnosed with AML leukaemia in August 2024 and after battling for so long, Eve sadly lost her fight and, on November 4th, aged 13, the world lost the most special little girl

I will be raising money for the 1000milesfor1000smiles fundraiser that Eve’s Uncle, Richard continues to raise money in her memory for various charities that helped Eve along the way.
