1000 burpees to raise money for Mood Active

We all know someone who needs to get more active to lift their mental wellbeing and mood. Especially in 2020. It could be you.

I will be completing 1000 burpees on New Years Eve 2020 to raise funds for and awareness of Mood Active. Please help me by making a donation per burpee.

Mood Active (moodactive.org.au) is a non-profit community service that runs educational and motivational mental health exercise programs empowering Australians to manage their wellbeing.

Operating in Sydney since 2013, Mood Active’s mission is to see more Australians using exercise for mental health and to have more GPs and Psychologists prescribing exercise as a treatment for depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. The non-profit community service – run by a small team of paid staff and 40+ volunteers – has helped more than 200 Australians better manage their mental health through exercise.

Despite its proven efficacy as a treatment for people with depression, anxiety and other mood disorders, exercise for mental health is under prescribed and underfunded in Australia, making it expensive and unaffordable for many.

Mood Active is one of the few mental health programs in Australia to provide much-needed early intervention mental health services at the ground level.
