For the past few years, my son and I have shared a Saturday morning tradition, whilst both maintaining football commitments: turning up at Parkrun together, week after week, rain or shine, even in the snow, running side by side - and now we’ve reached a milestone we’ve been looking forward to since our very first event.

On Saturday 20th December, we’ll be completing our 100th Parkrun. From the beginning, we promised ourselves that when we hit 100, we would dedicate our run to a cause that truly matters.

We’ve chosen to support Poppy’s Light Foundation. We’re lucky enough to know the amazing family who founded it, and their compassion, strength and dedication continues to inspire us. The work they do brings comfort, support and hope to so many people during their darkest moments. They are a shining example of kindness in action and are committed to making a difference.
