100 Miles For Kyle
Donation protected
My cousin, Kyle Baker, has battled Cystic Fibrosis (CF) his entire life. If you don't know, Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system as well as many other organ systems. Kyle returned home on September 5, 2020 after 6 months of hospital stays where he had to fight for his life and endure numerous complications. On June 23 he was blessed with a lung and liver transplant. A transplant that ultimately saved his life. Now that he is home, he's able to spend time with his family, friends and most importantly his 6 month old daughter, Laila. But this does not mean Kyle's fight is over. There will be more doctors appointments meaning more trips and stays in Ann Arbor/Detroit. This will add up to more expenses for Kyle and his family.
Every dollar helps. On 09/25/20 I will be running 100 miles nonstop to honor Kyle. I will be running The Haywire Grade, Michigan's first rail to trail, from Manistique to Shingleton (33 miles), Singleton to Manistique (33 miles), then head back north again for 15 miles before turning around and making my way to the Manistique Lighthouse (100.2 miles). Please consider even the smallest donation to honor Kyle and help offset costs associated with his Cystic Fibrosis fight (or just to be able to go do something fun to make up for those long hospital stays).
