100 Miles For Cancer Research - The West Highland Way

Donation protected
Starting on the 11th August 2025, myself and Tom Hurst will be undertaking the challenge of trekking 100 miles through the Scottish Highlands to raise money for cancer research UK. We’re aiming to complete the stretch of trail in under 5 days, culminating in climbing Ben Nevis, the UKs highest peak at the journeys end. This trip will see us wild camp across Scotland's beautiful landscapes, which we’ll explore hopefully without too many blisters picked up en route.

This challenge was inspired by the incredible success of my mates in Connaught FCs similar 3 peaks fundraiser earlier this year, organised by Callum McMillan. Whilst I was gutted I couldn’t make it, their journey has inspired this one, as well as the concept of turning the whole experience into a charitable effort, for which they deserve much credit.

It’s a sad reality that everyone in some way will most likely have an experience with cancer during their lifetime. My family has certainly been no exception, and whilst I’m lucky that currently none of us are affected, for many people out there that’s not the case. It’s a cruel and unfair disease, and whilst I am in the prime of my life and able to do so, I feel I should undertake efforts like this for the sake of all the people who aren’t so lucky, because I’m certain there are plenty of people out there sat in hospital beds right now wishing that they had a fraction of the chances and opportunities that I have.

So if you can, any donations are more than appreciated, and keep up to date with our progress by checking our Facebook and Instagram pages.
