100 Miles Along the South West Coast Path – in aid of Mind and The South West Coast Path Association
Hi everyone! We’re Will and Dan – two friends with a love for hiking, the outdoors, and photography – and this September (22nd–26th), we’ll be taking on a 100-mile trek along the stunning South West Coast Path, from Lyme Regis to Poole Harbour, all in aid of two incredible charities close to our hearts: Mind and the South West Coast Path Association.
We’ve always dreamed of walking the entire South West Coast Path (all 630 miles of it!), but with work schedules and limited funds, we’re starting with this beautiful and challenging stretch along the Jurassic Coast. Our route includes not just coastal trails, but inland detours to reach affordable places to rest and camp – all while capturing the journey through our shared passion for landscape photography.
This adventure has been inspired by our long-standing love for the Jurassic Coast – one of the most geologically and visually fascinating landscapes in the UK.
Why We're Walking
Mind is a mental health charity that provides life-changing support, information, and advocacy for those experiencing mental health challenges. In a world where mental health struggles are increasingly common, their work is more vital than ever.
The South West Coast Path Association works tirelessly to protect, improve, and promote this incredible National Trail, ensuring it remains accessible and sustainable for generations to come.
We believe that nature, walking, and creative expression can have a profound impact on mental health – and this journey combines all three. We hope to raise awareness, funds, and spirits with every step we take.
How You Can Help
Your donations, no matter how small, will be split evenly between these two charities and go directly toward supporting mental health services and the preservation of this awe-inspiring coastline, with a small percentage also helping to cover accommodation during the trip. If you’re not in a position to donate, a share means the world to us too.
