100 Mile Walk for Max
Donation protected
Max is our best friend and to tell you the truth he has had a pretty terrible run of luck. Diagnosed with the rare condition 'Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis' in June of last year, Max faced the possibility of his liver no longer functioning at the age of 30. While in hospital undergoing treatment, doctors also diagnosed Max with bile duct cancer. As a result of these diagnoses, he underwent an operation to remove 60% of his liver.
Always a fighter, Max faced this significant surgery and subsequent chemotherapy in order to control the cancer. Within six months of this life-changing surgery, he has now found out that the cancer has metastasised.
As his friends and the people who care about him, we cannot believe the bad luck that one young man can have. But we want to give Max hope, we want to help him fight this and turn his luck around.
Max's close friends including Ed Hall, Andrew Wilkins, Colin Hall and Callum Gardener along with Harry Jackson, James Dove and others will be undertaking the Cotswold Way Walk on 28th April 2023 - Starting in Chipping Camden and ending in Bath it is 100 miles of hills and valleys. We plan to do the walk in 4 days, meaning each day will be a marathon-length walk.
Please help us to raise this life-changing amount of money to support Max in whatever the future holds for him. Whether that be experimental treatment, assistance with hospital travel, specialised care or financial support while out of employment. We also plan to give 10% of the money raised to PSC Support, a small charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).
Thank you for taking the time to read this, we appreciate anything you can do to help, even if it's a share on your socials.
