100 DAYS TO INSPIRE A GENERATION

Help Football Beyond Borders raise £100,000 in 100 days before the World Cup to ensure a generation of teenage girls aren’t left behind.

Despite 46% of teen girls saying they are watching more football than ever before, 53% say they rarely or never play football at all, demonstrating that their interest is not translating from screen to squad.

New research carried out by Football Beyond Borders has found that teenage girls are getting left behind when it comes to football. We interviewed 650 teenage girls (70% based in inner cities) to ask “Did the Lionesses' win lead to all teenage girls becoming more engaged in the women’s game?”

The answer was a resounding “no.”

The report has found that last summer's victory has had little effect on inner-city teenage girls' engagement with women's football.

We are urgently fundraising to help save this crucial legacy of the Lionesses' 2022 Euros victory and drive participation and engagement in women’s football. Football Beyond Borders needs to raise enough money to fund our programmes before the end of the World Cup in Australia.

We are an education charity that works with young people who are passionate about football but disengaged in their education, to help them get the skills and grades they need to transition to adulthood successfully. Our programme has helped thousands of girls stay in school, discover their passions and grow in confidence.
