100 Amigos - raising 2k to send Reubs away!!

Donation protected
My 15 year old son Reuben has been given the exciting opportunity to go with his school at the end of year 11 to Uganda to work with charity Amigos Worldwide (Kira Farm) project.

Kira farm has been set up by Amigos to enable practical and vocational training and education in farming and land based work to those that may never be able to afford such an opportunity. This enables their communities to gain the tools and skills they need to be self-sufficient.

One of the great things about Kira farm is that it is run by trainees that have come through the training themselves.

In order for Reuben to go we need to raise £2000 to pay for his flights and accommodation with £200 of the fee and any money over the £2000 target going directly to the work of Kira Farm and Amigos.

As someone that has previously worked with Amigos in Uganda myself I know this will be a life changing opportunity for Reuben, enabling him to gain a completely different view of the world and allowing him to do something really impactful and life changing for others.

The awesome guys at the Quay café in Braunton have very kindly donated their venue to us for the night on the 25th November allowing us 100 places for 100 freinds (amigos) for a suggested donation of £15 each (minimum) providing a top night of live music.

I am stoked to say that I will have the rare chance of having my full band available playing with some very special guests.

The Quay Cafes very own manager Scott “Anchors” will be playing with his newly formed band the Heavyweights.

The incredibly talented Singer songwriter and local psychedelic rock hero David Smale will don his acoustic guitar and will be accompanied by the brilliant Becky Balzini Barrow on violin.

The brilliantly talented young local soul singer/songwriter Aisha Hewitt will also be treating us to some of her beautiful songs.

There is every possibility more will join this stellar line up on the night but what I am incredibly grateful to be able to say is the night promises to be packed with the highest quality music!!

If you wish to attend we are accepting a suggested donation amount of £15 per person. You can donate more if you so wish but it’s really important that you state how many people will attend with a name on each £15 donation made so we have an accurate idea of numbers for the venue.

Thanks so much for your support xJim
