My name is Naomi, I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my friend and her beautiful daughter Kayci. For over 10 years, they have been living in unacceptable and unsafe housing conditions. Despite repeatedly asking for help, the local council has failed them.

Recently, the ceiling in their home collapsed, and their home has become infested with severe damp and black mold. Both my friend and her daughter have since developed asthma due to the unsafe environment, and they’ve suffered the heartbreaking loss of furniture, clothing, and other essential belongings.

Kayci is non-verbal, autistic, and has mobility issues, meaning she depends on a safe and structured environment more than most. This situation has caused enormous stress and upheaval in her daily routine, which she relies on for emotional stability and wellbeing.

Because of the council’s ongoing negligence, my friend has had no choice but to pay out of pocket for alternative accommodation to protect her daughter’s health and safety. This has placed a huge financial burden on her already fragile situation.

I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help her cover:

• Temporary housing costs

• Replacement of essential items damaged by mold/damp

• Medical and therapeutic expenses related to asthma and emotional trauma

• Basic furnishings and clothing for Kayci
