Tears to Tzedakah - Fundraiser to Mark 10 Years
Donation protected
*Help us mark 10 Years since our amazing and precious husband and dad passed away*
It's been 10 years since we tragically lost our husband and dad. Our lives changed forever, creating a void that can never be filled.
10 years of countless tears.
Please help us to transform these tears to tzedakah and make a huge difference to many lives in honour of our precious husband and dad - Reb Yisrael Leib ben Yehuda haLevi z"l.
To mark this significant (and dreaded) milestone we are asking for your help to raise as much money as possible for 3 very important and worthy charity projects.
Each of these special projects provide those things, each crucial and basic needs, that everyone in life truly deserves yet are taken for granted:
1. JEWISH CHILDS DAY - A special grant giving charity who has helped children in need through projects worldwide for 70 years. Today, JCD reaches some 19,000 Jewish children each year, who rely on JCD to save them from deprivation, disadvantage, abuse and neglect; to nurture them and offer them a better future.
The grant we want to fulfil provides vital warm winter clothing, coats, appropriate footwear/school bags to abused and neglected children (newborns to age 18+), rescued and removed from their homes by the social welfare services. They in turn provide safe, loving homes and materials, psychological and educational support to enable children to break the cycle of violence and overcome their pasts and develop into independent young adults. Typically, these children arrive without any personal possessions, from highly distressing circumstances. Clothing fills a critical material, but it also fills an equally critical emotional need, enabling them to re-build a sense of dignity and self-esteem, knowing that they are cared and loved for.
2. EZRA UMARPEH - A charity focused on providing invaluable support to those facing illness and disability, in hospital or at home. With your help, we hope to buy a much needed hospital grade pump to help new moms, who have babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care. This has become an increasing demand in the community and Ezra Umarpeh are desperate for this new much needed machine to help these loving moms feed their precious babies.
3. GIFT - A charity, who for well over a decade, have been helping struggling families, through sensitive and caring means, with their weekly and Shabbos food packages. These packages are discretely delivered and designed to help supplement their weekly shopping, if any.
We want to provide additional items to as many of these families as possible, to allow them to enjoy extra essential items to enhance their week and particularly their Shabbos experience that they otherwise continue to have to go without.
We feel these amazing projects exemplify many of the things that our husband and dad stood for and truly believed in. To be a mensch, acting in a modest, considerate way.
This fundraise means so much to us.
SO PLEASE HELP US EXCEED OUR TARGET AND TOUCH LIVES IN THE WAY OUR HUSBAND AND DAD DID
With much love and gratitude,
Rose, Tarryn, Mel and Gina xxxxx
