ABOUT THE PROJECT
“When the discovery of a broken clock leads the Timekeeper to a beautiful young performer, he must ask the question of whether it is fair to cut a life short, or let the clock run out.”

‘10 Seconds Till Midnight’ is a short fiction film project done as part of the Deakin FTVA course. The short film is written by Victor Tikhanov, who has been making films since 2015, and will be directed by Harrison Ewart-Dart.

The story is as follows:
Whilst in the midst of his routine work, the Timekeeper happens upon a broken clock - an anomaly amongst the many. As he fixes the clock, he begins to hear classical music emanating from behind a door. His curiosity gets the better of him, and he ventures to discover himself in an auditorium, Megan rehearsing for her next recital. He becomes infatuated with not only the performance but Megan as well, losing track of time. He is however soon faced with a dilemma - after the performance and an attempt to communicate with her results in him discovering that the broken clock from the beginning belongs to her, he must grapple with the decision of whether the clock should run out, or whether he will pay the ultimate price for love.

HOW YOU’RE SUPPORTING THE PROJECT
By donating, you are not only helping fund several key aspects of the film, but are also supporting the student filmmakers behind it, allowing them to flourish in their creative voice! We are aiming to put the funds towards the following areas first and foremost, which are in no particular order:

  • Professional Sound Mixing
  • Production Design elements
  • Extra Gear/Equipment hire (in the event this is necessary)
  • Catering

Any additional funds will be funneled through to the areas that need it the most, as well as paying the cast. Everyone who donates, no matter how big or small the amount, will be thanked in the credits of the short film!
