a year ago today, november the second, our beautiful mum suffered from a stroke. she was a fit, healthy mum who lived her life running around after me, daisy and our dog barney, keeping up with all our our dance competition, shopping trips, gymnastics classes and taxiing around. on the morning of november 2nd, she took me to work, singing to one direction the whole way there, after my 4 hour shift i was picked up to the news that my mum was in hospital with a really bad headache, confusion and delayed speech, something i was not expecting at all to say we were having a car party not even 5 hours ago. after multiple tests we were told that she had suffered a blockage on the right middle side of her brain, confirming that she had had a stroke. this then took almost all her activities away from her, leaving her dizzy and exhausted after simple activities. over this past year, we have had great support from the stroke association, giving my mum some independence back. they have been amazing! from helping her reach milestones such as going on walks, to making tea by herself, they have really supported her within her recovery and we as a family couldn’t be more grateful for the things in which they have done in order to make sure we can continue doing things with our mum what she loved. to help raise money for this, me and daisy are going to be completely a 10 mile walk on sunday the 16th of november!! we are not asking for a lot, we just want to help support this amazing cause what’s helped our family so much over this past year!! feel free to join us on our walk, anyone can come!!
thank you!
