10 Mile Run For Katz

On 22nd December our close friend Katz was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is part of the body's germ-fighting immune system. In Hodgkin's lymphoma, white blood cells called lymphocytes grow out of control, causing swollen lymph nodes and growth throughout the body.

The Ross Nugent Foundation raises funds to help provide materials and medical equipment for the oncology wards in Beaumont hospital, where Katz is currently receiving treatment. When we mentioned to Katz about doing a charity run for her this was the first charity that came to mind. The Raheny 10 Mile is being held on the 10th of April 2023 at St. Anne's Park, where many of Katz's close friends will be participating in the run.

Anyone who knows Katz will know she is a ray of sunshine in any room and has a laugh that can put a smile on anyone's face! We appreciate any donations big and small as this charity can make such a difference to the ward and the comfort of the persons receiving their treatments here.
