10 Marathons in 10 days for DIPG
Donation protected
Inspired by Nedd Brockman’s uncomfortable challenge, doing something that makes you uncomfortable for 10 days, starting October 20th I will be running a marathon a day totalling 422km.
I wanted to take this opportunity to raise some money to go towards the Isabella and Marcus Foundation. This charity raises funds to support research to develop a cure for a brain tumour known as DIPG. 90% of children diagnosed with DIPG die within two years. The overall survival rate is less than 1%.
My mother-in-law’s friend sadly lost her son to this incurable cancer last year, so this is in honour of Chandler Jahn.
Shoutout to my partner for riding alongside me and taking on this challenge. Also a big thanks to Peninsula Star Cycles for setting us up with the perfect bike for her.
Any donations are greatly appreciated to help the families who don’t get a choice but to remain uncomfortable and fight daily.
