10 Marathons 10 Days for Cancer

Donation protected
My name is Paraic O’Neill, I am 21 years old from Limerick. In 2019 I made a promise to myself that for every year following  I would do something extremely hard to make myself suffer  to raise money for cancer. Cancer has had a big affect on my family, like most families nowadays. Last year, 2019, I ran 90 km for cancer, in memory of my uncle. I ran from my home in Crecora Co. Limerick to Ballybunion Co. Kerry, a route that I had cycled  a few weeks before my uncle passed away in 2015.

This year carrying on my tradition of raising money for Cancer I am running 10 marathons in 10 days, because 10 + 10 = 20 and this year is 2020. People with cancer go though pain for worse than a marathon ever minute of every day. Last year doing the 90 km run was suffering for 13 hours but that was only one day, and I didn’t think that was enough, it was over after one day and that’s no where near the suffering people go through with this illness. 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days starting from the 13th of July in the woodlands hotel in Adare, Limerick going around the ring of Kerry and running back to the woodlands again, 424km to try and raise as much money for the irish cancer society as I can and hopefully give hope to people suffering with cancer to keep on fighting and give just as much hope to the people who are left behind.
