10 Legs for Macmillan
Hello, in hope and gratitude, from Hilary/Hils/Hil
I think we have all been touched in some way by cancer and its challenging journey which is why, when I saw the "Do Something Mighty for Macmillan" opportunity to walk an organised half/full marathon in this beautiful South Downs area on 7June 2025, I rallied four fabulous friends to form "Team 10 legs for Macmillan" and 'give it welly'. Given our combined age of 341 we have decided to do the half marathon, but the gradient is not to be sneezed at!
So here I am, in unknown territory already and creating a fundraising page for the absolute first time.... and very much hoping you might be moved and inspired to "do something mighty for Macmillan" yourself(ves) and oh-so-kindly choose to make a donation of any amount, however big or small, to support my/our efforts. Bless you and thank you, thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.
I'll be walking in honour of everyone affected by cancer worldwide and in gratitude for the superlative job carried out by Macmillan Cancer Support throughout the UK....and, more personally, for all those beautiful people I have known/know with cancer both here and abroad.
In no particular order:
Dad, cousin John, Ing, Kate, Lucy, Lizzie 'Maharani', Wendy, Johnno, Debbie, Sage, Lucia, Nick, Helen F, Helen H, John H, Lynn, Angie's mum, Judith, Al, Bill, Colin, Sauchi, Stevie, Tracey, Di, Peg's sister..... too, too many people.
This means so much to me. THANK YOU, and may your generosity return to you manyfold. Peace and good health to you. Hils x
