Hi, my name is Charles Campbell, and I have been a Christian since April 22, 2018 and in recovery since January 21, 2011. My uncle James has been saved for at least 40 years, and in recovery for even longer. He is a member of a church/group which is focused on recovery and Christianity, and they are planning a 10-day trip to Israel to experience a lot of the places in the Bible, and visit the places where Jesus gave some of His most famous sermons. Since I was saved, my uncle and I have bonded in ways that words cannot begin to explain. He invited me to go on this trip with him because he is getting older, his health is getting worse, and he isn't sure if he will be around much longer to take this once-in-a-lifetime trip if he doesn't do it now. He has maxed out credit cards and done everything he can to cover the cost of the trip ($3900), but unfortunately I've been struggling to raise the money myself. I am a 100% service-connected Army veteran, so it is difficult for me to just work harder to make more money. I have done a lot of praying and leaning on my church family, but Im afraid that if I can't raise this money it may be the last opportunity I have to spend this amazing time with my uncle James. I'm extremely uncomfortable asking others for donations, but I would love nothing more than to be able to take this amazing journey with him to the Promised Land. For now, I will trust God and constantly remind myself that His will, not mine, will be done.
