Rescue. Spay. Save.
Your Gift Today Can Stop Suffering, Prevent Cancer, and End the Cycle of Breeding. Rescued But Not Safe Yet
These gentle rabbits were saved from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Miami. They had been living in filthy, ammonia-filled conditions, scared, constantly reproducing, and even attacked by the owner’s dog.
Thanks to dedicated volunteers and supporters like you, they are finally safe. But their journey isn’t over.
10 Rabbits Still Need Surgery
Out of the 23 bunnies rescued, 10 still urgently need spay/neuter surgeries.
Without this essential care, they face painful infections, deadly cancers, and the risk of the cycle of neglect beginning all over again.
Why Spay/Neuter Matters
- Spaying and neutering isn’t optional — it’s lifesaving.
- Up to 80% of unspayed females develop uterine cancer by age 4.
- Neutering males prevents cancer and reduces stress-driven behaviors.
- Fixing rabbits is the only way to stop endless breeding that fuels hoarding and abandonment.
Sadly, pet stores sell rabbits cheaply without explaining these risks. Families often don’t realize how quickly two rabbits can turn into dozens, leading to more suffering and cases like this—where rescues like Florida Animal Rescue Alliance (FARA) must step in.
