Hi, my name is Brian (BK).
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever written — not because I don’t believe in hope, but because asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me.
Just recently, our family went through a terrifying cancer scare with our daughter. Through prayer, faith, and an incredible medical team, she is now cancer-free. We are still thanking God for that miracle every single day.
Now, unexpectedly, our family is facing another fight.
After weeks of testing, imaging, and a biopsy, I’ve been diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer. While we are still learning exactly what the road ahead looks like, we do know this: it will involve aggressive treatment, travel to specialists, and time — time that we want to spend not just surviving, but living together as a family.
Why We’re Asking
This fundraiser isn’t just about medical bills — though there will be many.
It’s about:
Covering treatment costs, travel, and specialist care
Giving our family flexibility if work has to pause or change
Creating meaningful memories with our kids while we can
Allowing us to seek the best possible care without hesitation
We don’t know exactly what tomorrow holds — but we know we want to face it together, with faith, courage, and love.
