Every step counts. Every paw matters.
This November, the Walksfar Dogwalking team is taking on an ambitious goal: walk 1 million steps (approx. 500 miles) in just one month to raise funds for AEZA, a dog rescue charity in Aljezur, Portugal.
UPDATE: Only three days into the challenge we've already walked 1/4 of Million Steps, so we've decided to set a new target of 1.5 Million Steps.
How will the funds be used?
- Support the charity directly — covering medical care, food, and shelter improvements for the dogs.
- Fund the production of a documentary that will shine a spotlight on AEZA’s life-saving work.
How Your Donation Helps
Even a small donation makes a difference:
£10 = Dog food for a week
£25 = Vaccinations for a puppy
£50 = Transport for a rescue dog to its forever home
£100 = Medical treatment for injured strays
About AEZA
AEZA has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in the Algarve since 2001. They take in abandoned and stray dogs, provide vet care, food, shelter, and most importantly — find them loving homes. Despite limited funding, their dedication never wavers. But to keep going, they need awareness, resources, and support.
