1 mile swim in the Serpentine River

In 2021 my family and I so very sadly and suddenly lost my cousin Emma; age 29 and it broke a huge part of my heart and changed me as a person forever. I really struggled moving on, in some ways I never will but I found my local sob’s group in the August, my first words after it had finished was “I can’t do that again” but when I went home I felt refreshed because I had spoken to a group of people freely about how I feel.I continued to go back each month and slowly I managed to talk more and see the benefits of doing so in a room full of people who understood exactly what it was I meant. I am now a volunteer at one of the groups and I am so proud to help people. I am also more better with voicing my own greif around people. I look forward to helping raise money and going on a challenge for myself to focus on.

We exist to meet the needs and break the isolation of those bereaved by the suicide of a close relative or friend. Many of those helping have themselves been bereaved by suicide. We offer emotional support, help and information in a number of ways. Our aim is to provide a safe, confidential environment, in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, thus giving and gaining support from each other. Hi friends, join me in making a difference by supporting a good cause! I'm raising money for Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide and any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me.
