Final Journey Home: Help Ease the Burden for Tshänä After Her Father's Passing
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Jeff Jefferson, beloved father of Tshänä Jefferson and grandfather to Savannah, Dakota, and Phoenix, on Saturday, June 28, 2025. His passing was sudden, following an unexpected illness, leaving Tshänä and her family emotionally broken.
Jeff has lived in Long Beach since leaving Ohio in 1983. Although thousands of miles apart, he was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was a self-proclaimed illustrator, collaborating with Tshänä on her first book, It's Doesn't Matter... It's Love!... An Adoption Story. He loved his family dearly, and his aura resonated complete joy.
It was Jeff's wish to be cremated; therefore, Tshänä and her daughters would like to honor those wishes. Unfortunately, Jeff was uninsured and did not have a life insurance policy, thus placing an enormous burden on Tshänä to be solely responsible for the unexpected costs associated with his passing.
Tshänä, a single mother of three, is his only child, therefore forced to take on this immense loss while facing these unexpected responsibilities alone. Your contribution will lift an unimaginable weight off her shoulders during this impossibly difficult time.
There are 2,357 miles separating Jeff from his loved ones. Each dollar donated represents 1 mile closer to fulfilling Jeff’s final wishes of cremation and returning home to Akron, Ohio, where his loved ones wait.
The family's immediate need is to fulfill his wish of cremation (Long Beach, California) and transport him home to Akron, Ohio, for final arrangements.
Immediate need:
$1,526 - Direct cremation & transportation home
$500 - Out-of-state moving expenses for his belongings
This process is both emotionally devastating and financially daunting. We are humbly asking for your support to raise the current funds of $2,026 to cover the essential costs of crematory services and associated costs, and deliver all family memories left behind at his apartment in California to Ohio.
Any amount, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and bring him 1 mile closer to home. Please consider donating and sharing this page widely with your network. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support as she and her family navigate this painful journey.
