$1 for 2 Cows - Anthrax Vaccination Campaign

Hi, my name is Valentina Ndolo. I am a final year PhD student at the University of Cambridge studying Veterinary Medicine. My work involves developing risk maps to show the areas at risk of anthrax across Uganda and Kenya. As part of my public engagement project, I collaborated with the local government representatives in Northern Uganda to coordinate a farmer-led joint vaccination campaign against anthrax. We did our first vaccination exercise in February 2022, where we vaccinated 300 cows by subsidising the cost of the vaccine for each animal. It costs $1 to vaccinate one cow, so we subsidised the cost by paying $0.50 on the dollar for each animal.

We are now seeking to raise more funds to vaccinate about 3,000 cows ($1,500). We appreciate your support in helping us to fulfil this mission.
