Many know Leanne Grimes as a friend, three people know her as 'Mum' and countless children lovingly call her, “Miss Leanne”, the kindy teacher with the warm smile and heart of gold - No matter how you know her, everyone loves her.

In 2019, Leanne faced every wife’s worst nightmare when her husband Chris lost his decade long battle with cancer. Despite his long fight, Leanne stood by him with strength and grace, raising their three children while keeping the household running and holding onto hope.

Now, heartbreakingly, Leanne is fighting her own battle. Again.

In 2023, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After recent ultrasounds that show 2 lumps that are stable for the moment . Leanne has decided to have a double mastectomy because we don’t know how long that moment will last and she doesn’t want to wait to find out - major surgery scheduled for November 10th and the daunting $22,600 in associated medical costs.

As a single mother, she continues to carry the weight of keeping the family home while recovering from surgery and time off work. The physical, emotional, and financial strain is enormous. Never one to ask for help, she is drowning under the pressure of doing it alone.

Leanne has spent her life nurturing others - now it’s our turn to nurture her.
