He started karting at six and a half, and from the very first corner he knew — this was his path. In the handful of races he's had the chance to run, he's already shown something that can't be taught. The track was never the problem — getting there was.

C'è un bambino di 9 anni appena compiuti che, quando gli chiedi cosa vuole fare da grande, non ha dubbi: vuole correre.

Si chiama Leonardo, classe 2017.

Ha iniziato a sei anni e mezzo, e fin dalla prima curva ha capito che quella era la sua strada. In pochissime gare disputate ha già dimostrato qualcosa che non si insegna. Il problema non è mai stato la pista — è stato riuscire ad arrivarci.

Perché ogni weekend di gara ha un costo reale: iscrizioni, trasferte, kart e team meccanici. E quando i conti non tornano, si fermano anche i sogni. Come è successo l'anno scorso, con una pausa dolorosa e una scelta coraggiosa: lasciare il team in cui correva per ricominciare nel modo giusto.
