On the night of April 19th 2023, a dangerous tornado producing storm passed through most of the Oklahoma City metro, leaving a wake of destruction in its path.

What started off as a day like any other at 1 Day Ranch in Bethel Acres, unexpectedly turned into long night of inventorying physical and emotional damages, searching for animals and debris clean up.

Maeghan, Justin and the rest of the Olsen family who live on the ranch are no strangers to the absolute devastation that these kinds of storms leave behind. I could type for days just on the subject of how their own lives have been affected by tornados or how without a second thought, they have been there before clouds even part, ready to do whatever they can to lessen those effects for both people and animals alike, but I’m not going to do that.

What I am going to do is ask for help. While I’m sure Maeghan would disagree and try to give it to someone else, this family truly deserves the same kind of help that they selflessly give daily.

The most important part is that everyone is okay. But the damages incurred are severe and it’s going to take a lot of time, money and strength to rebuild and move forward.

Sheds and structures need to be rebuilt, roofs need to be replaced, cars need to be fixed, limbs and debris need to be removed- all of this while still caring for an abundance of residents, human and animal alike.
