1 Brigade Cavalry Squadron's Fundraiser

1 BCS will carry out a continuous 24hr charity run in an effort to raise funds for the Beaumont Hospital Foundation on the 16th May 2024 at 0800hrs. A portion of the funds will also be used to support the O.N.E. Veterans Charity.

The Beaumont Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the hospital in providing vital equipment and services improving the quality of care given to its patients and their families. Beaumont Hospital provides not only emergency care but a wide variety of specialist services that members of the Defence Forces both past and present have received.

Óglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann (ONE's) primary objective is to support the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in its Veterans Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans, in particular Mental Health advice, through its nationwide network of Branches and Veterans Support Centres.

1 BCS would like to show our appreciation to the hospital, its staff and the work of O.N.E. in providing quality care to Defence Forces members by carrying out this charity event. For the 24 hours from 0800hrs on the 16th May to 0800hrs on the 17th May members of 1 BCS will split into relay teams and run continuously throughout that period.
