'Segway' type Hand-Free Economy Power Wheelchair
Donation protected
I am a paraplegic in a wheelchair and have been for almost 15 years. I want to make modern mobility technology affordable to all.
Goal: Make an affordable hands-free wheelchair attachment for the Segway Ninebot. The Segway Ninebot is now under 500$. The Blumil wheelchair attachment for a Segway device is currently somewhere around 4000$.
Funds used to: Continue to research. Purchase materials and supplies. Design and build several prototype until having a market ready product; a complete functional wheelchair fitting the Segway Ninebot S.
End Goal: is to convert that prototype to proof on concept and an end-market product (via kickstarter.com)
The goal of the end market product is that it should be priced below 1000$ and hopefully not to exceed 500$ so a total hands-free electric wheelchair with gyroscope technology can be obtained by anyone for around 1000$ total.
