Help Me Save My Child!
My journey as a mom began several years ago, and one thing I have learned is that it does take a village to raise a child. I am writing this appeal to you today in hopes that you will want to become a part of that village for one of my children in particular, Elijah.
Elijah is facing many challenges at this time. Society is constantly changing and our youth are met with great obstacles and adversities. The devil has a plan to destroy our youth But, God has a PLAN to give our youth a HOPE and a FUTURE!
Elijah has struggled and the last few months, he went from an honor roll student, to the gifted program to making his first F and things turned to worst, from drugs to gang activity. I reached out to law enforcement, the court system, and many others services for help but because he had not committted a crime and had not done enough to earn the required points to get the help needed, I was left with only two decisions, to wait until he hurt someone, rob, steal, or kill, or wait for him to be hurt or killed! And I was not ready for neither one of those choices. I could not allow him to stay in an environment that was destroying his life. However, with God’s help, prayer, and family support we have succeeded with removing many of those outside influences to help Elijah succeed.
Elijah is now enrolled at a all boys Academy located outside our city limits. The program is for boys grades 6th through 12th; it has a great success rate and is what was needed at this time to SAVE his Life.
Elijah is now receiving life-changing opportunities while enrolled there. The school helps to create positive changes that will help Elijah grow into a successful young man. The school has great success with developing students academically, as well as enhancing personal growth, however, minimal financial assistance is available. Tuition, room & board cost is $18,000 for nine months. This Academy is very structured and they recommend at least nine months in their program. At this time we are praying this situation is temporary and will give Elijah the skills necessary to return home and succeed. However, our immediate goal is to keep Elijah enrolled there until November of this year, and we need the funds to come in ASAP. He is now happy and making great progress.
As a mother of four boys, I appeal to you today for HELP. If possible please choose to be a monthly donor or a one-time donor of any amount, so that he will be able to stay at this facility and get the Help that he so desperately needs.
Often in life we wonder what we can do to help our future generation. This is one of those opportunities I pray that you will join our village and help support Elijah during this transitional time of growth in his life.
