Hi, my name is Rio Kimura from Japan. I started playing ultimate frisbee in 2017 and I've been selected to play ultimate frisbee for Lights Out, which is a mixed club team in Seattle, WA this month.

I'm excited to join and represent this strong team after a long journey with many tryouts and delayed tournaments due to the pandemic. The reason why I want to play in the United States is because of the competitive nature of the teams here in Seattle. I love how the sport challenges me to become a stronger player both physically and mentally. My team's goal is to go to nationals and I would like to contribute to helping achieve our goal.

However, the season costs are a lot for an international student that cannot work without a visa. Although my teammates are willing to chip in, I want to cover the season costs without having to burden them or my parents. Therefore I am creating this online fundraiser to ask friends and networks to donate.

The donations will cover the season's jersey, tournament field reservations, fees, food, lodging, and travel.
