Be Angel's Angel!
When I first met Angel I knew she was the mother to a very adorable almost two-year-old boy and that she was always running late, but that was about it. As I began to get to know her better I found myself in awe of this young mother of four boys, struggling with unemployment and housing instability. Angel is dealing with more on a daily basis than many people do in a lifetime: homelessness, domestic abuse, losing her home and income as a result of the pandemic. Despite all this she always seems to be smiling, hopeful, and above all, an extremely loving mother.
I have told Angel many times that life really needs to cut her a break. Things kept going wrong. I came to the conclusion that the best way to help Angel help herself and her boys was to find her reliable transportation.
Her and the boys' home-base, and often their only place to lay their heads, is currently a completely unreliable Honda Odyssey. Whether it's the transmission breaking, the sliding door falling off, or the brakes cutting out, this van is just not cutting it.
In order for Angel to work, eventually find stable housing, and get her awesome boys where they need to go, she needs a new van. I have so much respect for what she has gone through and how hard she works to give her children a great life.
Please, please, please consider donating to not only help Angel, but her sweet boys as well!
